If you look on their website it only goes 40km/hour (I wonder if that's why the govt is saying it's unsafe) and 35 miles at a time before needing to be plugged in.

35 miles is about 55 km. That would do a round trip to DT Vic. The speed limit would be problematic though. I wonder if the vehicles they are selling in BC can go faster than the US models.

I was looking on the Tesla (tessla sp??)website with G yesterday. those are regular (they perform like an regular car) electric cars that costs 100 thousand. And Dad was just saying this morning India has developed an electric car that will go 105km/hr and is selling them for 20 thousand - the electric car is on its way - it's just a matter of time now.

It makes you wonder what transportation will look like in 10 years - and sound like!!
