Evelyn's last day of Kindergarten

Evelyn has completed her 2nd year of Kindergarten. This year she was in a K/1 split class. It has been exciting to see her grow over the 10 months.

This year, she went from reading sight words to really reading. She has also started to spell in her own unique way. She loves science, art, centre time, and recess. She did well on her report card and met or exceeded all the outcomes (except working on her own, she is a chatty little girl!)

For the first part of the year, her teacher was Mrs. Shannon Jones. After Christmas, she went on maternity leave and the regular teacher (who was on a leave for the autumn) returned and completed the year. Her name is Mrs. Karen Radford.

The photo on the right was taken on her first day of school. Same outfit. It was an intentional 'full circle'.

Great Job Evelyn! Congratulations!

It's hard to tell but it looks like the shoes are a bit scruffier in the grad photo and she's a bit taller. Way to go Evelyn.

did you die her hair pink or is it hair attached to the barrettes? Looks cute!

It's all died. The bottom colour is back to being dark blonde, but the strand on top has been re-died pink.

You are right, the shoes are much scruffier, I actually threw them out yesterday, and the skirt looks shorter.

Yay Evelyn! Great job!
She sounds very ready for grade 1!
Yes, she definitely fills out the clothes a lot more by the end of the year. What a great idea Bev.
